During his travels, discovering the immensity of desert lands, Xavier Blondeau wonders about the place of the individual in his environment. In order to materialize his questions, he turns to photography. In 2009, in parallel with his activity as a teacher-researcher, he was able to resume this photographic work around the individual.
Through his series, he seeks increasingly intimate answers. His approach remains instinctive although he decides to structure his work, while moving towards a certain very pure aesthetic form. Only emotion drives him, and this is how he navigates from abstraction, where he explores intimacy, to highly graphic representation in order to link this imaginary to reality. His photographs always leave a certain uncertainty in the air, pushing the public to reinterpret through their eyes what the photographer offers them as an answer to his research.
Since 2011, Xavier Blondeau has been very active and has been exhibiting a lot. His work reveals him through his various photographic series.
