Professional photographer and artist-author, Carolina Gasch's artistic approach focuses on the urban world that surrounds us. In the center of it is colour.
The environment that she captures for its graphic compositions is at the heart of her creative work. She seeks the combination, organisation, coherence, symmetry and relationships between the parts of a whole that create harmony.
Her photographs subtly question our perception of the world between hyper-realism and surrealism. As she travels through French and foreign cities, she shapes the light and colour of the urban landscapes that seem familiar to us.
Gasch is also passionate about architectural style. The artist develops her own photographic language by trying to build images that tell a story. This requires compromising and questioning. When shooting cityscapes, it can be challenging to show the urban environment in a different light, to extract its beauty, to revisit it in another form. But she succeeds, in an original and creative manner.
