"Using images is my way of communicating with people. As a photographer interested in nature, society and beauty, I seek to engage my audience in an ongoing and meaningful dialogue on these important subjects. As strong and aesthetically pleasing as I can make it, my photography is never an imagery in itself. The eye is actually a part of the brain with its function of memory and awareness of the mind. Photography makes it accessible to others; this is how I conceive my work and my vocation in life. »

Since childhood, Jennifer Orhélys has lived in a melting pot of culture, languages and art. She has always been drawn to poetry, music, fashion, and the chance to be in contact with the beauty and wilderness around her. Her visual experience, which will nourish her years later in her artistic expression: Photography. Jennifer Orhélys is a photographer published in Photo Vogue Italia who studied Cinema, Visual Arts and Art History at the Ecole des Arts de la Sorbonne-Panthéon.

Her fascination for the Art of Self-Portraiture is therefore a specialization. Moreover, Jennifer claims an approach for which, "beauty comes first" in order to defend a pictorial composition of Nature photography and Self-Portraiture. Thus it goes hand in hand, the cult of photographic art and the cult of natural beauty, nourishing each other, for a tireless commitment to the protection of nature.

On the other hand, Jennifer Orhélys seems to have found a delicate way to expose her relationship to the countryside through minimalist compositions or in grandiose landscapes, typical of her native region. It is above all a colourful universe with subtle messages. Her presence, among other things, allows her to tell a photographic story of a romantic and solitary heroine. The eye is solicited to feel the simple poetry, the light, the lines, the colours and the emotion, in order to free everyone's imagination. To love, and to pay attention to the details of the little things around us, with respect, is her conception of life.

From his powerful emotions, they allow him to bring out a universal visual force in all his works. In 2016 his work and research on the art of Self-Portraiture was recognized, and since 2017 his photographs have been part of the permanent collection of the Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Art in Japan.
