After studying in hotels and spending about ten years in Paris, he was initially away from his favourite hobby. Monotony and routine pushed him to experience something else by settling in the United States. This first step allowed him to acquire a real camera and then, later, to travel to Central America. On the spot, the unexpected meeting of a photographer-journalist gives him the desire to deepen his passion. Back in Paris, Valéry frequented exhibitions and museums, reading books and magazines to awaken to this art. He practiced photographing scenes of life and monuments in the capital before leaving it definitively in 1999 for Cayenne, in French Guiana. He stayed there for 4 years. Publishing postcards and carnival reports, nature and heritage photographs for local institutions, he then took his first steps in the business.
Professional for about fifteen years, his activity is now divided between illustration photographs distributed by several agencies for the magazine press, institutional, communication and publishing, limited edition art images, social and event photography.
