Born into a family of gallery owners who passed on the culture and codes of classical art to her, Carol Descordes became an assistant in the studio of the culinary photographer Jean-François Hamon.
Since 1991, she has been producing her own reports and photographs for various magazines such as La Bonne Cuisine, Le Chasseur Français etc. In 1998, she created her own photography and graphic design studio "Le Studio 28" and continues her collaboration with various magazines (Cuisine de saisons, Cuisine Gourmande...) but also with major brands such as Paris Venise, Capital, Dragon Rouge ... In addition, she also works for caterers such as Gaston Lenôtre.
In 2008, she settled in the hills of Perche on the edge of the forest and developed a photographic work whose central theme is the forest. This research led to the publication of various books (Mamaison un voyage en lisière, l'Arbre du jour, La presque vraie histoire de la Princesse au Petit Pois, Perche esprit des forêts...) as well as exhibitions.
In 2013, his meeting with the antique dealer Sylvain Chériau gave him the opportunity to combine his knowledge of classical art with his practice of culinary photography to begin the realization of a new series of photographs on the theme of still life in parallel with his work in the forest.
