"L'ETERNEL FEMININ" Exhibition sponsored by Maître Pierre Cornette de Saint-Cyr The story of a meeting between two people who are passionate about Image, Art and Beauty. Throughout the arts and the ages, women have been in turn : Muse, Mother, Icon, Victim or Warrior. Because she gives life, she has always exerted a mysterious fascination; the benevolence and purity of the Virgin Mary, the love of Venus, are thus opposed to the dangerous seduction of Eve and to the fatal and inaccessible women of today's fashion.

This exhibition pays tribute to women but also to these great men who have made and who make them through their works ambivalent icons where innocence and seduction are a subtle mixture of love.

ERIC OUAKNINE, fashion photographer, and ANNE ARNOLD, make-up artist, met on a film shoot and decided to pursue a collaboration. Very quickly, a common interest in the artistic aspirations of both came out. "L'éternel Féminin" was born naturally from this symbiosis and bears the fruits of a unique experience in terms of technicality mixed with a deep reflection on Art and Beauty beyond any aestheticism; mastery of make-up and body-painting techniques on the one hand, mastery of light and retouching techniques on the other; together they decide on the artistic direction and transmit their passion to the models who are fully involved during the shooting.

Eric Ouaknine is an international fashion photographer based in Paris and originally from the south of France. He showed a particular interest for pictorial art and in particular drawing from a very young age by developing a universe inspired by apocalyptic, fantastic and avant-garde fictions of the 1980s such as Mad-Max, Terminator, Blade Runner etc. Coming from a passionate family of art collectors, his father painted for fun and took him to the museums of Florence and Paris. He was amazed by the great works of the Renaissance, Baroque and Gothic architecture, it is something that marked him forever.

After studying nursing, he became passionate about landscape, still life and portrait photography. He made a radical change of direction and created a modeling school in 2001, where he carried out numerous photo tests and made his first steps into the fashion world.

Completely self-taught, he carried out his first advertising campaign for a prestigious brand in 2003. In 2004 he moved to Paris with the ambition of becoming an international fashion photographer and specializing in Haute Couture and luxury accessories. From then on, he has worked with famous brands, done editorials for the press, made trips to Milan and New York and collaborates in parallel with promising young fashion designers.

He organised his first photographic exhibition in 2008. Entitled "DESTINY", it is a series of artistic portraits featuring original jewellry. This event was a major success with the general public. Then in 2009 he worked on a series of futuristic portraits entitled "GIRLZ OF Z FUTURE" that he exhibited in the restaurant of the Louvre. In 2011, he was sponsored by Maître Pierre Cornette de Saint Cyr to  exhibit "L’ÉTERNEL FÉMININ" in the abutment of the Alexandre III bridge. "VIRGIN SUICIDE" which was launched in 2017 is the artist’s fourth exhibition. This series of powerful portraits was created in partnership with the talented make-up artist Christelle Minbourg.
