The series is based on a study of the human body in which the image is influenced by a sculptural process. This exploration merges with the notion of disinterested beauty. When viewing "DESFORMES", the viewer focuses on the geometric rigor of the pieces sculpted by light. Although intertwined with contemporary objects, the bodies are reminiscent of classical nude sculptures. From Rodin to Brancusi to Man Ray, a variety of great artists have influenced this project. It evokes a minimalist reality in which the sculptures are naturally arranged in an environment of absolute white, almost aseptic. The installations are then documented through photography, making them both ephemeral and intangible. It is a reality that exists only in the photographs themselves.

A new photographic and sculptural experience

Luca Izzo was born in Sanremo, Italy. At the age of 30, he moved to France where he still lives and works.
