This work is the result of meetings with farmers in Finistère who, thanks to their tenacity and independence, prove that production that is closer to nature and consumers is possible. These photos are a tribute to these women and men who inspire us by their path, their struggles, their work, their respect for what nature gives them. Thanks to them, the living world takes back its rights. For five months I followed seven micro-farms. Highlighting their daily work. Through their approaches, all of them renew the link with nature that has sometimes been broken.

An extract of this work is presented in the form of prints in the AGUADO Town Hall of the 9th thanks to the event @Objectif FEMMES 2021 and is the subject of an edition of 124 pages printed in 250 copies gathering the whole of this project. Printed on PAPIER FINE ART BARYTÉ HAHNEMUHLE PHOTO RAG BARYTA Laboratoire DAHINDEN // 75002 Paris

Based between Paris and North Finistère, Carole Charbonnier works as an Artistic Director and Visual Artist. Nature and the living are at the centre of his approach.

To bring back to the fore the living, the one that exists only through its extinction. Biodiversity is collapsing, to become aware that in the disappearance of a passerine, of an insect it is a part of ourselves that disappears.

These little lives that we do not look at, these little pastoral tragedies that are of no importance to our humanity. No death should seem unworthy of a glance. Carole Charbonnier's work is a mise en abîme of "still life" by still life, the last or first homage to all those lives as vulnerable and precious as ours.
