Sangle II is a work from the series "Scénographie de Chantiers" composed of 33 images made on construction sites.

Extracted from their context, materials and tools become impromptus of the ephemeral. The prosaic, bucket, shovel, stock of concrete irons, dripping or splashed walls, prints on the ground, games of light and shadow, taken to the point of abstraction, become the powerful signs of the fleeting poetry nestled in the bend of the construction in progress.

Printed on Hahnemülhe ultra smooth paper laminated on aluminum dibond, ready to hang Original prints, numbered and certified by the artist, limited to 8 copies of all formats + 2 artist's proofs

The singularity of a photographic image comes from a chosen approach. Michèle Sainte-Beuve's is intuitive, contemplative, artistic. From her emotions, from her states of mind, is born her quest, her research. Without any theme of predilection. It is the chance of encounters, a material on a building site, an abandoned embankment or the rustle of a bush that triggers the creative process.

From these solitary wanderings, from these times of observation and reflection, his images are born. Some of them will go through a long and delicate work of development to reveal the final meaning she wants to obtain, even if it means removing the photographic identity. Thus, the final photographic image can echo engraving or painting.

Michèle Sainte-Beuve uses all the tools at her disposal as long as they serve her creativity, old or digital techniques. The rule is that there are no rules. Her images are simply offered and only ask to be seen.
