Silver photograph (antique camera shot) printed in a darkroom on Bergger paper.

"Time is hectic, time is pressing, everything is neat, controlled. It is the "very good" that counts, and the progression towards the "perfect" is the norm. But in this race, imperfection makes things charming and attractive. Photographing with an antique large format camera from 1890 is to take the wonderful risk of sublimating mistakes. A dust of mystery, a mystical halo... It is in my darkroom that I continue my creation, playing with filters and movements, chemical accidents, continuing to reveal enigmatic photographs, sometimes provocative but always imbued with softness. It is here that the fragile skins merge, that the lights console, that the contrasts dramatize. Much more than a direct and immediate representation, the IMPAIR series plunges us into a world that resembles a dream but brings us closer to a very real world, that of our memory. Perhaps that of childhood, vulnerable and fragile, captured by an old large format camera collected from a flea market, itself marked and wounded by the years, rehabilitated to create and make of the present a new past...or would it not be to make of the past a new present?"

Originally from Brioude in Auvergne, Breton by adoption, it was by chance that Ingrid Dorner moved to Munich in Germany.

From Rolleiflex to NikonF, from the old camera to the disposable camera, it does not reject any shooting mode. This shot is precisely his blank canvas, his initial impetus. Arrival in his dark room, the magic operates ... It is here that the creative act takes shape. She experiments with chemical processes, superimposes negatives and materials ...

Passionate and whole self-taught artist, she draws her inspiration from the intangible vibrations of life, the passing of time, oblivion, genealogy, genetics, the writings and concepts of the philosopher Henri Bergson ... But through her mysterious photographs and sometimes provocative, it always expresses a certain tenderness. Sow doubt sometimes ... But gentleness should always prevail.
