Born in 1985 and graduated from the Beaux-Arts de Rennes in 2010, Charlotte Lelong is an artist whose practice ranges from drawing to installation and photography. His artistic project is articulated around the themes of human fragility, childhood and what is beyond appearances...
"Our society today is in a hurry and in a hurry. We must move forward, be strong and not care about others or what surrounds us. Frailty is most often associated with weakness. On the contrary, I seek to expose our weaknesses and highlight them because they are what make our interest and beauty! I am interested in details - revealing a certain inner state - I try to bring out what people are trying to hide, their flaws. For me, they are the very representation of their being. Through my work I try to reveal the being against the appearance by representing the body and the echo of childhood in adults. This translates into a mixture of softness and violence, beauty and ugliness, gathered in a familiar intimacy. »
