Notseig, Pierre Badie's artist name, represents the person he would have liked to be a few years ago, an idealized person, created by a young man left unarmed in a world he lived cruel and frightening.
Now he became this name he created, he admitted that he was not able to reproduce what others do, it was a terrible discovery for someone who simply dreamed of being loved. And then came the most essential thing to him, the result of a monstrous and deep questioning: "I only know how to do what I know how to do... but, in the end, who cares if what I do is good or not, isn't the important thing rather the fact that I am, like anyone else, the only one who knows how to do what I know how to do?" It was at this very moment, at the end of his first drawing that he began to accept himself. This name was no longer a way to disappear, but a desire to exist.
