A painter with a classical background, I have exhibited for a long time in Morocco, as part of the post-orientalist movement that, still alive in this country, has naturally permeated my imagination.
Now settled in Roussillon, I have finally found my Catalan roots to reconnect with a rich cultural tradition that has allowed me to recharge my batteries....
The painter’s profession being in its finality only a perpetual hedonistic quest, each of my works develops according to a mode of expression consubstantial with the subject treated. Hence the variety of media used: oil, acrylic, inks, felts, etc.
My inspiration, although essentially figurative, sometimes allows itself to be led along the paths of abstraction and digital creation, which, with greater freedom of tone and movement, invite me to explore the range of possible pictorial possibilities in a vision that is both serene and poetic.
"The work lives by the way we look at it. It is not limited to what it is, nor to whoever produced it, it is also made by whoever looks at it. " (Pierre Soulages)
