Georges Bouey, alias MAD398, started graffiti in 1989 in the west of Paris. In 2000, he founds in Bordeaux, as president, the association FULLCOLOR.
Specialist of large murals realized in France and abroad, he masters hyper-realism, figurative, "wildstyle" and "3D". He also works with private companies and public institutions for projects on buildings, indoors and outdoors. His initiation workshops find an echo with the young public who recognize in him an authentic graffiti artist.
His collaborations are numerous: from DDP to BMW, via Zurich airport, the ACCOR CASINO group, BUFFALO GRILL to name but a few.
Since 2015, he also develops in parallel of his activities, a painting in studio, close to "Colorfield painting" and abstract expressionism. In 2001, he produced a model of what was described by the "Diary of the Southwest" as "a premonitory fresco", drawing Manhattan without the Twin Towers in a sky of "fire", one month before the famous attacks of September 11, 2001.
In Sarcelles, a few days apart, he painted a painting alongside LEK where he represents what seems to be the continuity of the "premonitory fresco" where he depicts frightened people running through a building hall in flames.
From 2000 to 2003, he creates one fresco per week in Bordeaux, but also in France and Europe. At the time, Bordeaux is a city entirely tagged. In spite of the negative advice, he decides to form the association "FULLCOLOR" in 2000, to promote coloured graffiti and to break down the resistance of the institutions, which still consider him as a "tagger".
At the same time, he is part of the crew of the "XS" of Toulouse where he collaborates with DRAN and METANE. He is invited to paint at the "Battle of the year" in Montpellier with MODE2, JABA and CEE-T or at the Summer Sessions festival of KEHL in Germany.
From 2002 : after IONS des SAC in 2000, in 2003, SHADOW joins the FULLCOLOR team alongside MAD, ZARB and SAGE. The Zurich airport in 2003 marks the return to solo practice.
