The idea of "building" a landscape was present from the beginning. A landscape that has no beginning and no end. It is designed and evolves with each new engraving, is declined to infinity and always calls for a continuation like the series itself.
Zeynep Perinçek first worked each matrix in the shape of a mountain on zinc, iron or wood plates. Then, for each event, she had fun finding a new composition with these elements. This is what makes each print run unique. As in a building set, the parts are counted but the possible combinations are unlimited.
Each new engraving clings to the previous ones, stretching a little more a moving horizon line. With each presentation of this work, this line is transformed and redrawn according to the number and order of the tests chosen. The white of the paper appears as "what is not mountain", it is the link. Rhythmic by the occurrences of repeated patterns, it creates a circulation.
