Chanoir

Alberto Vejarano, known as Change, is a Franco-Colombian artist born in 1976 in Bogotá. International renowned, it is famous for the energy and optimism of its graffiti. Chanoir works with a universal visual language, based on the conviction that art and artists are agents of positive change. In mid -1990s, under the influence of precursor artists like Keith Haring, or Le Parisien André, he decides to use the spray bomb as a means of expression. The work of Chanoir, which is born in the fusion of pop art and free figuration, calls for knowledge of art history and is nourished by popular humor, childhood memories and aesthetics contemporary. It develops a graphic style marked by resolved colors, flat plans and figures with simplified and immediate shapes, characteristic both logos and tags. Cat lovers, Chanoir chose its name by referring to the poster of Steinlen: "Le Cabaret du Cat Noir". His “cha” cat logotypes, drawn spontaneously, change forms constantly. Naive and always expressive, they communicate their emotions to passers -by, according to the artist's feelings. A relationship is established with the public. & Nbsp; his father, Gustavo Vejarano, Colombian and esoteric artist, transmits his beliefs to him on the subtle levels. & Nbsp; Spirit, with the aim of entertaining and playing with the spectator by creating an art for everyone.
