Banksy is perhaps one of the most well-known and controversial artists of our century. Known for his work with stencils, he has always hidden his true identity. Born in Bristol, UK, his initial work was influenced by the underground scene of this city and its relationship with its artists and musicians, notably Trip Hop, as it began in Bristol. It was here that Banksy made his first works. Today, his work highlights political injustices, causes for social awareness and cultural satire. Artwork by Banksy is some of the most sought-after in the world.
