Born in Paris in 1973. His discovery of the artistic world was made in 2008. A training as an art framer allows him to work on artworks and this is how he discovers photography, then very quickly screen printing. In 2014, he was accepted into the collective screen printing workshop of the Cité internationale des arts de Paris, which allowed him to develop his technique, build his projects and meet the international art scene with the residents of the cité des arts. Eric Mercier also works with children and teenagers in art schools and high schools, introducing them to the technique of screen printing. It is from silver photographs, between the subtle play of screens, lines and flat colors, the transparency of inks that he succeeds in interweaving photography and screen printing. The colors must result from a process of research and harmony. He makes sure that there is no break, no raw separation to create a graphic complexity. "I like to provoke chance, whether it is constructed or deconstructed in the course of printing by accident or by intention, resulting from the emotions projected. One of the goals of his work is that the image he creates calls forth another in the imagination of the viewer.
