185R091011 is a carborundum on zinc etching printed on BFK Rives 250gr/m2 paper. The sheet has a size of 65x50cm and the figure a size of 50x50cm. Work titled on the back, numbered, dated and signed in pencil on the front.

Edition of 22 copies numbered from 1 to 22/22. Year 2018. This realization is the result of the series of[deductive structures] which is built from the rules of concrete art. It is based on a combinatorial approach that is deliberately truncated by a missing but deductible element. This exploration aims to make a formal element sensitive by a decision of non-implementation.

Born on 20 February 1970 in Strasbourg. Pierre Muckensturm lives and works in Colmar.
He studied geography from 1989 onwards and then specialised in spatial planning at the Louis Pasteur University in Strasbourg.
Between 1997 and 2001, he participated in plastic art workshops and thus had the opportunity to present his first works in group exhibitions at the Centre Rhénan d’Art Contemporain in Altkirch (France).
Since then he has pursued an artistic career in parallel with his profession as a specialist teacher.
From 1997 to 2004, he approached painting with a resolutely figurative work and met his first collectors. Among them was Antoine Crupi, an architect, who commissioned him to create a very large work and who, later on, introduced him to his culture of design and architecture and introduced him to Le Modulor and a major work by architect Charles-Edouard Jeanneret-Gris: Notre dame du Haut. It was following his visit in 2004 that he left figuration and has since then endeavoured to find in his painting the accuracy of the emotion perceived then and, from it, he seeks to create his own universe of benevolence. To this end, he expresses himself through large oil paintings, which support a language of sober and intimate emotions. He bases his research on the certainty that, as Julius Bissier has stated: "Calm is greater than storm".
Since 2010, in parallel with his painted work, he has been developing an engraving work, which aims to fix a line / form of flexibility, curvature and deployment that can most accurately express his new temporal prehension.
