Zeynep Perinçek's works blur the line between figurativism and abstraction. Among them, one can recognize landscapes, vegetal, mineral and animal silhouettes.
An empirical artistic approach
Born in 1970 in Ankara, Turkey, Zeynep Perinçek lives and works in Marseille, France.
This artist’s approach to art is intuitive and deeply sensorial, which is all the more fostered by her love for experimentation.
From this empirical approach, she produces works that border on abstraction, in which one is able to make out vegetal or mineral forms, or billowing cloudlike imagery. Others, more figurative, depicting mountainous landscapes, forest and sometimes exotic animals.
With such elements, we viewers are invited to enter a natural and poetic world that truly stimulates our imagination.
An artist stimulated by chance
Zeynep Perinçek works with color, matter, and printmaking and lets her artistic process be guided by chance and happy accidents.
In her artistic creations, the Turkish artist likes to mix different techniques, such as painting, collage, engraving and printmaking. She overlays each material to create distinctive works with unique and natural effects.
