My theme fights all forms of oppression leading to a search for individual freedom. I would like to send a message of hope and reflection through a character and protagonist I called Lola. I want to participate in his emancipation, to make him aware of his rights in his own world but also of the risks and excesses of the Western world imposed by his sayings of beauty.
Lola lives in a golden cage. This cage is suffocating him. Repressed, she suffocated, and could not find the strength to get out. One day, caught up by her instinct for freedom, by her wildest dreams, she rebels, and flees, flees towards the West. Lola runs away, runs, shouts, throws the veil of oppression, feeds on her own wishes. She yearns for her wildest desires while listening to the voice of her soul. She discovers the pleasure of the free mind, throws the mask away, frees herself completely, breaks all the barriers that prevented her from sharing her true emotions. Now, Lola is finally happy, she breathes deeply, she emancipates herself, she smiles at life, dances, breaks all the barriers of oppression, she explodes the walls that block her path to freedom. She protests to maintain her rights and autonomy. Lola lives her life, but she is immersed in an opposite reality, in an excessive freedom, which seems unregulated, uncontrolled to her. She gets lost in her new landmarks. Western society imposes its aesthetic codes in a virtual and vicious way, dictates its dictates of beauty. Lola is outgoing. She forgets her own sacrifices to get rid of the previous imprisonment. Without knowing it, dazed by the radiance of beauty at all costs, plastic surgery transforms her body. She loses her natural physiognomy and without realizing it, takes away that freedom paid so dearly, ruining her own being, her own soul.
We want to see Lola fly away towards spirituality, the search for her own self, to acquire peace with and serenity in her. She looks at the sky, the light. While waiting, Lola went from one prison to another, from one cage to another, from one oppression to another oppression. And this time it will probably be even more difficult to get out...
