The artist does not seek here to represent the morphology of people (which has already been done), but to make perceptible the energy that emerges from an instant, captured in the material, by means of a stylisation at the extreme of the body. The work is part of the work on the theme of dance, which resulted in 6 different bronze sculptures. In the series of 6 works dealing with the human body and dance, the Surfer is a separate work. While most of the sculptures evoke femininity, it is here that virility, power, and energy are highlighted.

The posture of the stylized character immediately evokes that of the surfer balancing on the wave, but also other sports such as karate or fencing... The stylization is such that we are on a vibrant boundary between figuration and abstraction.

The patina created by the proposed artist is in blue-green tones, but other colours are possible on request. In accordance with the regulations, the bronze (lost wax) is numbered on 8, dated and signed with a stamp by the artist. The sculpture is for sale on order only, with a delay of about 3 to 4 months (foundry and patina).
