After studying at the Beaux-Arts of Bourges and Orléans, Isabelle Abate turned to teaching Fine Arts. At the same time, she created her sculpture workshop in Charente-Maritime where she melts her works in bronze.

Isabelle Abate plays generously with clay. Her curiosity constantly leads her to discover new ways to find under the clay the great body of the earth. Her sculptures are a silence of the hand that says what words cannot hear.
