Les Renaissances is my very first bronze as a visual artist and no longer as an Art Foundry operator, which was the very first bronze sold on Kazoart. I develop my imagination here, with these little birds that are not really birds and which, through the voids, the fulls, the hollows that I leave, become little creatures that take on a singular presence. 12 cm in diameter x 7.5 cm in height . Watercolor" patina, shades of green, water green, pink, barley, purple. To highlight the piece and see the patina in all its integrity (as in the photo) it must be exposed to daylight or have appropriate lighting. Using the lost wax technique, the piece is entirely made by the artist. The modelling, the setting in cluster, the degrappage the completion and the patina.

Julie Balsaux is one of those people who only stand up for themselves because they keep moving forward, acting and inventing, and first and foremost their lives, every day, as if they were under the immediate threat of bottomless despair. Because they have to launch a paper plane against the absurdity of the world, and the world is heavy, it is always a question of tearing themselves off the ground, of creating the momentum of a jump that we would like to last infinitely long. So we are somewhere between the energy of the gesture and the slow movement of the clouds. Drawing, installation, writing, sound proposals, each piece is an attempt to talk about the world while escaping it. Each idea opens with a challenge, the confrontation with manufacturing, the pleasure of a technical and artisanal implementation, and the desire that this manipulation disappears in a joyful and yet derisory jubilation / Jean Cristofol 2012.
