Malte Lehm takes the imprint of a torso, a bust, a silhouette whose beauty is obvious to the eyes and the mind. He must collect it, preserve it, save it, in order not to reproduce it in a simple facsimile, but to make it undergo all this work of metamorphosis.
His life-size ceramic sculptures are then original works of art born from combustion and polished, refined and reworked by him. It is a delicate gestation, defying chance and time. A first-hand snapshot.
