For Sabine Maître, in Art since she was 14 years old, from the profession of glass painter and Glass Artist, in 2002 self-taught towards metal sculpture, the creative moment takes place on her drawing board.
The sketches and plans follow one another and become more precise until the balance of his future work appears to him to be reached. Then comes the execution, methodical, disciplined. Elegance and sobriety are the basis of his creation, but the message would not be complete without the wink of questioning the basic idea.
Thus, the oblique side of such an element of the object, the fragile pedestal on which an imposing construction rests, reflects the ironic gaze of the artist who, faced with the excesses of our civilization, expresses his doubts. The man is not absent from the artistic considerations of Sabine Maître.
