Polo is a versatile creative craftsman. Passionate about everything, he has practised all sorts of craft disciplines throughout his life as a perfect self-taught person, from building to jewellery, he now only devotes himself to metal sculpture. He has been making a living from his art for 30 years and has a shop-gallery in Domme. For a few years now he has been sharing his home and workshop with Alex & Manon, his son-in-law and daughter, in Saint Laurent la Vallée (24); with whom he collaborates and shares this passion. The techniques used for his sculptures are borrowed from those of jewellery. The works include brass, copper, silver-based alloys and steel. His workshop is a real laboratory where the methods and materials used are in perpetual evolution. Polo offers us his dreamlike universe, where metal becomes organic and living matter. His sculptures are all unique pieces available on request or on order from a drawing.
