New & Noteworthy Artist
Graphic designer by training, Olivia turned to sculpture in 2007 after a meeting with a ferronier from Lebanon. It became for her necessary to rub shoulders with the material, to add to his work a 3rd dimension. Behind an apparent hardness and coldness, hides a flexible, modular, powerful material. The possibilities are limitless. Sometimes left raw, it can also be associated with other materials such as wood which, over the years, is becoming more and more present. Plant elements also come to interfere in assemblies or weaving inspired by nature. Olivia also sometimes takes up with pleasure ink and painting, on all kinds of materials that she recovers. Write her own language in hope That it is understood by the greatest number, this is what Olivia is used, constantly seeking new scriptures inspired by its stays in different countries: Lebanon, Kuwait, Togo and Papua Nouvelle- Guinea.
