This figurative sculpture in combined resins represents a female body that the drape of the garment covers and reveals, as any garment worthy of the name when it comes to "fashion"; 65 refers to the height of the whole, about 65 cm. The apple on one of the images testifies to the format. The final treatment white lacquer is covered with a glossy epoxy glaze.

The metal and cement base bears the signature, as well as the back of the sculpture.

The whole is a triumphant ode to elegance and lightness, in a slender pose.

Jean-Yves Verne began his artistic practice in the 80's, with drawing and modeling sessions at the École Supérieure d'Arts Visuels de Genève. He then attended the Atelier d'Académie de Ferney Voltaire, from its inception, and for about twenty years.

Since then, all his activity is concentrated in the space cluttered with a thousand things, which serves as his studio. He alternates techniques in 2 or 3 dimensions. Acrylics and inks, on canvas and other supports, give way to various materials such as porcelain, wire, wood, paper, electronic components, cement, resins..., used in his sculptures. He does not forbid himself any support or technique in his research.

The whole composes distanced stagings, as well in sculpture as in painting.

The figuration is a constant. Thus, the acrylic compositions on square canvases make solitary characters emerge from the black background, privileging the atmosphere over the anecdote.

These numerous experiments are playful, exciting, and dedicated to put in image the menu of the moment.
