In turn creator, interior designer then sculptor, Denise Nouna Benarroch known as "NOUNA" trained in the knowledge and practice of applied arts in two specialized Parisian schools.
First graduated from the École Supérieure des Arts Modernes de Paris, NOUNA began a prolific career devoted to design and decoration for companies in the industrial and commercial sector, for about ten years.
In 1992, she felt the need to devote herself to the practice of sculpture and joined the workshop of the sculptor Myriam Franck before continuing her apprenticeship with a course at the École Boulle.
NOUNA realizes her works in the intimate and peaceful space of her studio in Paris, from clay that she works on live models. Not wishing to confine her practice to a particular style in order to always guarantee freedom of execution and expression in accordance with her desires, NOUNA nourishes her work with everything that surrounds her and touches her personally.
Thus, she creates academic nudes, creations inspired by primitive and African art, as well as, more recently, many contemporary resin sculptures, powerfully coloured, inspired by Pop art and urban art. Constantly searching for new techniques, the artist strives to make his work evolve according to his aspirations of the moment, with sincerity and passion.
Also, since its first years dedicated to the continuous experimentation of materials and styles, NOUNA keeps a freshness and a vitality that persists in each of its creations.
