Nathalie Defradas started sculpting in 2002, at the School of Fine Arts in Clermont-Ferrand, then at the School of Architecture in Volvic. Very quickly, her work focused on the human body for its ability to translate emotions. The artist likes to combine strength and softness, energy and abandonment in his works, giving them an intensity of presence that is both dense and light. For her, modelling is like a hand-to-hand relationship with matter, starting from an inanimate material to breathe life into it, the mystery of a dream to share with the public.
