This terracotta sculpture is not a piece, a break from a more complete work. It was conceived to be only an evocation leading each spectator to draw from his memory or from his dreams the memory of a real or fantasized body. This fragment is the support, makes it take shape. The dimensions are without the support. Allow 5 to 10 cm more in height with the base. Patinated terracotta, oak and stainless steel support.

Christian Ruault has been interested in art from a very young age. An interest that led him very early on to work at the Louvre museum where he works as a cabinetmaker presenting works.

For nearly 20 years, he worked alongside the masterpieces of art, regularly going to draw in the museum's rooms during his free time. Then, towards the middle of his career, he decided to turn to his other passion, photography.

After a few years spent at the National Archives where he had the opportunity to photograph the great documents of French history, he took charge of the photo lab of the Paris School of Fine Arts where he teaches the techniques of silver photography. There he frequents the world of contemporary art and artists in the making.

At the same time, he has never stopped producing in the different fields that are dear to him: photography, drawing, painting and sculpture, moving from one to the other periodically, without ever leaving any of them. Similarly for his subjects, nature and women have always been at the heart of his creations. The latter is still so today through the faces and busts he models in clay.
