Skyfall (which means free fall) is one of the most striking recent works of the author, who invites us here in his current research on aerial movement. At the sight of this sculpture, one feels various impressions related to the flight: speed, dive, fall and vertigo... One thinks of the bird (for example an eagle) nosing over its prey; but also of the nose-down plane or even the myth of Icarus... There is also a reference to sport parachuting. What do you see? This promises great discussions, or, on the contrary, long sessions of meditative reflection . It should also be noted that the work is entirely made of wood... The astonishing technique of the author, mixing skillful assembling, lacquer and patina is once again marvellous, for a unique result.
