Solidarity Sale Supporting Artists

Since its creation, KAZoART’s mission is to use its established online presence to support artists and to help them increase their distribution by boosting their international renown.

To mark its commitment to today’s contemporary creators, especially during the health crisis, KAZoART has joined forces with the Maison des Artistes, a historical actor in the support and professionalization of artists in France. Together, we will aid the artists most affected by the economic impact of the health crisis.

KAZoART will thus host a Solidarity Sale from July 1st to July 7th. For each work purchased on KAZoART, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Maison des Artistes’ Fund for Artists in Difficulty.

Improving Artists’ Living Conditions

Created in 1952, The Maison des Artistes is an association of artists for artists. It was founded in a spirit of solidarity and mutual aid and aims to accompany visual artists throughout their career. Furthermore, it defends artistic interests and offers them support, tools and services in line with their artistic activity. And lastly, it enables artists to develops projects oriented towards receiving living wages for their work all the while bolstering their professional standing.

One of the aspects of this support is embodied by its Social Aid Office, which helps nearly 200 artists each year through the allocation of direct or indirect financial aid and reinforced social monitoring. Beyond simple advice, the goal is to provide concrete solutions, in parallel to the financial action laid out by the social aid office, which alone is not enough.

“At this critical time for artists, this partnership with KAZoART comes in response to this obvious need for help and support following the health crisis we have been through and the recovery that is coming. Through the funds derived from this sale, we can help our artists.”

François de Verdière

Président of the Maison des Artistes Association

Mathilde Le Roy

Founder and President of KAZoART

“KAZoART exists by and for artists. Our first vocation is to accompany them at each step of their journey, to help them gain renown, and to earn living wages selling their art.

We are honored to join forces with Maison des Artistes and are happy to bring support to artists who have been weakened during the health crisis.”

Providing Visibility for Artists to Exhibit

Today, exhibiting and exposing their work remains a primary need for artists. Maison des Artistes is aware of the importance of this issue and works to facilitate access to exhibition spaces, especially for artists at the beginning of their career. The goal of the project is to create a network of associative and supportive exhibition spaces.

Encouraging Art Acquisition

Maison des Artistes is committed to monitoring artists’ remuneration and improving their working conditions. Thanks to donations, it can cover consultancy and legal fees as well costs incurred from tax specialists in the art market. Their work makes it possible to defend and support the implementation of a tax system to strengthen the sale of works of art to the public.
